Moving Memories will help you get ready for your move. We can do all or part, a few hours or many. How to best help you is our goal.

Advocate: We can assist with finding a suitable agent and all other services, acting as your advocate if your family in not available.

Downsize: We will sort, downsize and organize to accommodate your new home, respecting your wishes and working with you.

Heirlooms: We will safely pack, mail or arrange delivery of anything you want to give or hand down to relatives.

Pack: We will pack the items moving to the new home, providing appropriate packing materials & labels for organized unpacking.

Sale: If you are interested, we can arrange an estate sale and we will be present those days to represent you.

Donations: We will arrange for pickup of any items you choose to donate and secure tax paperwork.

Moving Truck: We will work as your advocate when selecting a company to move the remainder of your belongings for large jobs or assist you when a large truck is not needed.
Floor plans of new home to be sure the items we're moving will fit into the new home.

Moving Memories will be there on the actual moving day to represent you and your family. We will take care of all the loose ends and little things that can make moving day so difficult.

Coordinate with your moving company to answer questions and remain on budget.

Utility shut off/on: Cable, phone, electric, security, Lifeline.

Purchasing: Purchase new items, and arrange delivery at your new home.

Unpacking: We will unpack primary items and get rid of those boxes and mess.

Address change: Change address with any urgent locations: post office, pharmacy, Doctor's office.

Cleaning: Moving Memories will clean your old home to 'Broom Cleaning' standards or we will arrange for a cleaning service for your new or old home if needed.

Preparing your new home is part of our specialty. We will work to make it feel "like home" quickly, so you're not sitting amongst boxes and clutter for days or weeks. Before we leave, you will have a made-up bed to sleep in, lights that work, and know where your medication is.

Organizing: We will organize each room in a pattern similar to your old home.

Safety: We will be sure your home is set up to avoid fall hazards. We can install shower rail and other safety equipment when necessary.

Decorating: Picture and decoration hanging can be done, as well as curtains and drapes.

Electronic equipment: We will set up your TV, Stereo, cable, computer and clocks!! We can do it!

Medications: Prior to our leaving, you will know where your medications are, and they will be accessible, you'll probably even be reminded.
Food: We will be sure there is something available to eat, to tide you over until your shopping trip. (We can help you with that too!)

We also have experience working with people with physical disabilities, developmental disabilities, and the chronically or terminally ill. We have extensive experience with people who have just suffered the loss of a parent or spouse. We handle the special needs and concerns that each situation requires with patience, tenderness and skill.
